Goodrich supplies sensor upgrade for USAF's U-2 reconnaissance aircraft

Goodrich Corporation has been awarded a contract to supply two upgraded Senior Year Electro-Optical Reconnaissance Sensors (SYERS) for use on the US Air Force's U-2 reconnaissance aircraft.rnThe upgrades, known as SYERS-2A, will enhance U-2 functionality by adding an extra multispectral imaging capability to the system, Michael Don, Goodrich's director for strategic surveillance programmes, told Jane's on 11 October. The contract was awarded earlier this year.
