Alenia launches MC-27J gunship

Alenia Aermacchi is to offer a special-mission variant of its C-27J Spartan tactical transport aircraft to the export market, the company confirmed to IHS Jane's on 4 July.Dubbed the MC-27J, the platform will be given a gunship capability through a modular roll-on/roll-off (ro/ro) palletised mission kit that has been jointly developed with ATK.
