A People's Liberation Army (PLA) court martial has sentenced a lieutenant general to death after finding him guilty of corruption, embezzlement, and bribery. Gu Junshan, 58, was formerly the deputy head of the General Logistics Department, in charge of property and infrastructure. The sentence has been suspended for two years and is then likely to be commuted to life imprisonment.
