摘要

The US Navy (USN), the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), and Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) concluded their first joint missile-tracking exercise off the coast of Hawaii on June 28. The 'Pacific Dragon' drills focused on improving tactical and technical co-ordination among the three navies, including the detection, tracking, and reporting of ballistic targets, said the USN in a statement. The exercise featured a co-ordinated live ballistic target tracking event where each nation's Aegis Ballistic Missile Defence System capabilities were "tested and improved", said the USN, adding that all participants shared tactical datalink information in accordance with a trilateral information sharing agreement.
