摘要

The US Department of Defense detected and tracked North Korea's launch of the Hwa-seong-15 ICBM. NORAD and US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) are charged with defending the United States and Canada from external threats, including North Korean missiles. This wide-ranging mission is coordinated from the NORAD/NORTH-COM Command Center, known as the N2C2, at Peterson Air Force Base (AFB) in Colorado Springs. Jane's was given rare access to the N2C2 during a recent visit.
