In July, the UK Cabinet Office, which co-ordinates all of the country's central government ministries, announced that it was running a review of the UK national security strategy as well as the supporting policy and procurement decisions set out in the November 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR). According to the announcement, the latest review would "help to ensure that the UK's investment in national security capabilities is as joined-up, effective, and efficient as possible, to address current national security challenges".
