摘要

India is preparing to sell off stakes in four state-owned defence companies, documents recently published by the government show. The move, in terms of its scope, is unprecedented. Documents published in late July by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Investment and Public Asset Management show that the government plans to sell off 25% stakes in naval shipbuilders Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) as well as missile manufacturer Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and metals producer Mishra Dhatu Nigam (Midhani). The government of India holds 100% equity stakes in all four.
