US defence exports to India worth USD4.3bn since 2013

The United States has emerged as India's largest materiel supplier over the past three years, followed by Russia, Israel, and France, according to the country's Defence Parliamentary Committee. The committee report, tabled in parliament on 9 March, revealed that the United States had signed 13 defence contracts worth INR289.95 billion (USD4.32 billion) with India between 2013-16. Russia followed, signing 12 deals for military kit valued at INR83.74 billion during this period.
