SmartGate moves to New Zealand

An automated border control system in use in Australia has been extended to Auckland International Airport in New Zealand, and will be implemented at the other international airports in the country in 2010. The SmartGate system from Sagem Securite went live in December for arrivals at Auckland. Wellington and Christchurch will introduce the system for arriving passengers in mid-2010.
