The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a New Zealand spinach extract, and more specifically, to a cosmetic composition which contains a New Zealand spinach extract, wherein the cosmetic composition contains, with respect to the total weight thereof, 0.1-10 wt% of a naturally or artificially grown New Zealand spinach extract to prevent the generation of nitrogen monoxide, tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-), interleukin-6 (IL-6), prostaglandin E2, and thymus and activation-regulated chemokine, thereby having antioxidant activity, an anti-inflammatory effect, and atopic dermatitis suppressing actions.
