The airline industry is pushing for an overhaul of "obsolete" airport screening procedures that would use passenger profiling to speed travellers through airport security checks, the head of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has said. In an exclusive interview with Jane's, IATA Director General and Chief Executive Officer Giovanni Bisignani said the chaotic scenes often seen at security checkpoints would hopefully fade to a bad memory.
