Honevwell SmartPath applications spread as GLS approaches increase

Honeywell's SmartPath GBAS ground station is certified and operational in seven international airports, including: Newark New Jersey and Houston International in the United States; Bremen and Frankfurt in Germany; Malaga in Spain; Zurich in Switzerland, and Sydney, Australia. Since Sydney achieved certification in mid-2014, the number of GLS approaches has steadily increased. Qantas Air now flies more GLS approaches than ILS to the airport, Virgin Australia flies more than 100 daily, while major carriers Emirates Airlines and Cathay Pacific are among other regular users.
