French companies Charlatte Manutention and NAVYA are forming a joint subsidiary to develop, build, maintain, and market autonomous baggage tractors and other airport vehicles. NAVYA owns a 51% stake in the subsidiary, with Charlatte Manutention holding 49%. The two parties have already combined to develop the AUTONOM AT135 baggage tractor, which is based on the electric-drive T135 vehicle from Charlatte Manutention. More than 12,000 T135s are used at airports around the world. A prototype of the AUTONOM AT135 was displayed at the International Airport GSE Expo.
