Bridging the standardization gap: Rwanda hosts a global forum

The government of Rwanda hosted ITU's first-ever global forum on bridging the standardization gap between developed and developing countries regarding information and communication technologies (ICT). Over 160 participants from 38 countries took part in the meeting, held in Kigali on 2-4 October 2007, chaired by Diogene Mudenge, Director General, Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Agency. Its conclusions were presented to the Connect Africa Summit that took place in Kigali on 29-30 October.
