ITU Deputy Secretary-General meets President of Burkina Faso

On 10-12 November 2009, ITU Deputy Secretary-General Houlin Zhao visited Burkina Faso and met President Blaise Campaore, who expressed his satisfaction with ITU's cooperation with his country and encouraged the Union to continue its efforts to help the developing world. Mr Zhao welcomed the valuable contribution of Burkina Faso to the Union's work, and conveyed an invitation from the ITU Secretary-General for President Campaore to participate in ITU events next year: the World Telecommunication Development Conference and the Plenipotentiary Conference.
