摘要

With a view to estimate the sulphide capacities of slags used in hot metal pretreatment processes, the sulphide capacities of CaO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2-MgO, CaO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2-MnO and CaO-A_2O_3-SiO_2-MgO-MnO slags in low SiO_2 concentration region were measured in the temperature range 1 673-1 773 K. The gas-slag equilibrium technique has been used for these measurements.rnFrom the results obtained, it was found that the MgO and MnO increased the sulphide capacity values of slag. A new empirical model based on optical basicity for sulphide capacity prediction of these slags was developed using the measured values of the present work and literature.
