Introduction to the iSeries Graphical System Debugger

Developers who face problems in multi-job scenarios know that there are two primary problems with debugging applications that consist of multiple jobs: First, it's hard to find the job that you want to debug. Second, it's hard to get the job to stop where you want it to stop. To address these problems, IBM added (in V5R2) the iSeries graphical system debugger tool. The graphical system debugger uses an advanced feature called service entry points to simplify multi-job debugging. Here, we explain how the graphical system debugger uses service entry points.
