Industry 4.0 and export packaging do not seem much of a fit. Customers associate export packaging with wooden crates that cost too much. Alois Mathis, CEO of Cargopack Tagi, a firm headquartered in Untersiggenthal (Switzerland), has very clear ideas about packaging 4.0 though. "To survive as an export packager we need to deal with the entire packaging process. It is not just a question of figuring out how to make packaging as cheap as possible".
