Since 2003 the firm Securepost has carried out valuable goods and cash logistics for the Swiss post office, its subsidiaries and other clients. The company, completely owned by the post office, operates in what the post office has called "a very demanding - and increasingly risky environment." This has prompted the corporation to reveal its decision to sell the business activities of the subsidiary to the firm Loomis Switzerland; the sale took effect on 1 May. The international operator will take Securepost's 450 employees on board.
