Lombardy is the economic powerhouse of Italy's 20 regions. Lombardy's 10 million inhabitants generate the second-largest gross domestic product per head of all the regions; only Trentino-South Tyrol, which is nine times smaller, reports a higher figure. Thus it makes sense that the region between the border with Switzerland and Lake Garda also records the most dynamic logistics and commercial real estate market.
