The official inauguration of Cuxport's new berth No. 4 (see also page 18 of the Heavylift Special in ITJ39-40/2018) means the terminal operator now has a total of 8.5 ha of extra space available to handle goods there in future. Ships with draughts of up to 14.3 m can now call at the quays. The completion of berth No. 4 means the northern German maritime hub, which is the country's leading offshore port serving the North Sea, will be able to further increase its throughput in future.
