The US shipping agent Intermarine is rejuvenating and enlarging its fleet in cooperation with its principals. They are banking on ships that are similar to those of the Century class, the fleet's tried and tested workhorse. In order to meet rising demand, Intermarine recently chartered two heavylift ships named the «Atlant Frauke» and the «Atlant Trina». The 7,800 dwt units have more than 10,000 cbm of cargo capacity and boast twin (combinable) cranes for lifts of up to 250 t each. The ships, constructed in the mid-1990s, are certified by Germanischer Lloyd.
