Continental Airlines Cargo recently became the first cargo division of a US airline to be certified as a qualified Envi-rotainer provider. This was achieved after the successful completion of the latter's Qualified Envirotainer Provider Training and Quality Program (QEP). The airline wants to ensure that it can offer a top-of-the-line cold chain product and impeccable service guaranteeing customers an unbroken cold chain from the moment a shipment is collected to the time of delivery. Envirotainer, an airfreight container producer based in Sweden, launched this accreditation programme at the end of 2006. It is particularly appreciated by the pharmaceutical, health care and life science industries. 《This widely recognized accreditation tells our customers around the world that Continental's ClimateSecure products offer the highest handling quality available in the industry,》 explained Mark Mohr, Continental Cargo's manager of product development and specialty sales. 《What's more, our customers are rewarding our quality handling with increased business, including non-pharmaceutical commodi- ties such as specialty flowers and frozen lemon juice.》 Continental Cargo expects to generate record sales with its ClimateSecure products this year.
