Regular feeder services launched from Eurogate Tanger

Two regular feeder services have begun calling at the Eurogate Tanger container terminal in Tangier (Morocco), not long after it was first visited by a feeder vessel, CMA CGM's 《Tobruk》. Domenico Bagala, chairman of the board of Eurogate Tanger, said that 《although the terminal is still in its trial phase and has not yet officially opened, operations are proceeding so well that we are already able to handle feeder ships on a regular basis. The two feeder services are operated by the German short sea specialist OPDR, which sails to Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Felixstowe, Seville, Gibraltar, Ceuta, Melilla, and Tangier, and the French shipping line CMA CGM, whose North Africa service (NAF) connects Malta with Tangier, deploying vessels with a capacity of 1,000 teu.
