In Chain Logistics, founded as a joint venture between Belgium's K Puurs Logistics group (KPL, which holds a 80% stake) and Portugal's Cimaport (which owns 20% of the capital), is the latest logistics service provider in Portugal. In the context of its expansion strategy on the Iberian Peninsula, K Puurs Logistics has chosen Pacos de Ferreira, approximately 30 km from the port of Leixoes, as the site for its first warehouse and distribution centre. There are good road connections towards Spain from there, amongst other things. KPL's priority is to serve its main customer Chemitex as perfectly as possible. The company is having a 7,500 sqm warehouse built on the 25,000 sqm plot of land, which it has already acquired.
