Transaero Airlines recently acquired a Tupolev TU-204-100C and inducted into the fleet just days before its maiden voyage on 21 April. On its first commercial flight the Russian-made aircraft carried 24 t of freight from Moscow to Novosibirsk and Yakutsk before returning to the Russian capital. Transaero's first cargo Tupolev has a maximum payload of 30 t and a range of just under 4,000 km. The new plane has a completely different logo than the airline's nigh-on 100 passenger aircraft. The white background with blue lettering visually signals Transaero's entry into a new business field. The plane is provisionally active as a separate business, but it will be absorbed into Transaero in mid-May.
