The Luxembourgian logistics service provider Logwin again supported Save the Children medical aid efforts in July. A debilitating civil war has rocked the Central African Republic for the past 18 months. The organisation Save the Children provides humanitarian relief aid to the needy in the country. Teams in Bangui, Kemo, Nana-Gribizi and Ouaka distribute medicine and medical equipment to health centres, while mobile hospitals visit places with inadequate health infrastructure. Kathrin Wieland, CEO of Save the Children Germany, said that «medi-cal provisions in CAR are very poor and there is a great risk that disease will spread. We're grateful to Logwin for transporting medical equipment to the region.» In June Logwin collected the goods, packed on pallets, from suppliers in the Netherlands. It shipped tablets, syringes, infusion bags, examination gloves and doctor's clothing to Bangui, with some of the sensitive supplies transported in temperature-controlled conditions.
