Analytical Model for Assessment of the Line Harmonic Currents Generated by a Variable Speed Drive

With the widespread use of static power converters in many industrial applications, it requires to characterise more accurately the harmonic content injected on electrical networks. The present paper proposes an analytical method to obtain the model of the harmonic currents produced by a variable speed drive. The bridge rectifier is assumed to operate in the continuous mode.
