Bridge to Abstract Mathematics

Students that are novice in abstracts mathematics, instructors. As written in the back cover of the book, 'Mathematics is a science that concerns theorems that must be proved within the constraints of a logical system of axioms and definitions'. Following this approach, the book provides an introduction to abstract mathematics by giving the basis of the axiomatic method, of the symbolic logic, and of the mathematical language. The content of the book covers different topics ranging from the set theory to the number systems and basic calculus. In particular, I found quite interesting Chapter 3, where different methods of proving theorems are illustrated.
