Citadel buys RVR shares

The kenyan and Ugandan Railway has agreed to a new shareholding structure for Rift Valley Railways (RVR), which links Kenya's port of Mombasa with Uganda's capital, Kampala, concluding months of negotiations between investors and the Kenyan and Ugandan ministries of transport.rnUnder the new structure, Citadel Capital subsidiary Ambience Ventures will hold a 51% stake in RVR, 34% will go to Kenyan-based Trans-Century and the remaining 15% to a Ugandan investor. The stakeholders also agreed to invest $US 250 million in both infrastructure and rolling stock upgrades on the route over the next five years.
