California High Speed Rail Authority outlines new plan forward

CALIFORNIA High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) has outlined a path for completing construction of the Central Valley section of the high-speed line. The Revised Draft 2020 Business Plan, slated for final approval last year, but repeatedly delayed due to the pandemic, affirms the development of the electrified Merced - Fresno -Bakersfield interim-service line, while advancing environmental reviews and current investments in local and regional infrastructure projects. The plan also lays out the challenges of the pandemic, and how CHSRA is overcoming them. But CHSRA CEO, Mr Brian Kelly, says he needs more time to complete the work.
