Italian prime minister commits to Lyon - Turin project

IN a move which looks set to end months of political deadlock between the Italian and French governments, Italy's prime minister, Mr Giuseppe Conte, confirmed his commitment to continuing with the Lyon - Turin highspeed project on July 23. "Not building the highspeed line would cost much more than building it," Conte said in an address posted on his Facebook page. "The decision not to carry out the work would expose us to costs resulting from breaching our agreement with France."
