Transmashholding displays RA-3 DMU at Shcherbinka

TRANSMASHHOLDING (TMH) displayed the new RA-3 DMU at the Pro.Motion.Expo. in Shcherbinka, Russia, at the end of August. The prototype was completed in February, and has recently received regulatory approval. The DMU, which was developed by TMH subsidiary Metrowagonmash (MWM), can be used on high and low-density urban, suburban and regional routes with high and low platforms. TMH says the train will provide a solution for non-electrified lines, which currently comprise 50% of the Russian network.
