Sir - You published some good editorial in the January issue of IRJ - I hope that it receives a lot of attention. Ms Elisabeth Werner, land transport director with the European Commission's Director General for Mobility and Transport (DG Move), seems to have it right when she says that freight train punctuality and reliability is often more important than transit time and price (IRJ January p21).
