Management Buyout Of Ashtead

Aberdeen, Scotland-based Ashtead Technology Rentals Ltd, a leading high-technology rental equipment supplier, has announced a management buy-out in a deal worth GB￡95.6 million. Backed by private equity firm Phoenix Equity Partners, the buy out was led by managing director Andy Doggett and Andy Holroyd, president of the firm's North American operation. As part of the agreement, Brian Long has joined Ashtead Technology Rentals as new company chairman. He has a long track record of chairing private equity backed businesses, including Moody International and the Alex Stewart Group.
