The second Oceanology International China kicked off on 3 September 2014 in Shanghai, attracting 215 exhibiting companies from more than 20 countries. The event saw 5000-plus domestic and overseas professional attendees walk through the doors. The only forum in Asia where industry, academia and government share knowledge and connect with the marine technology and ocean science community, improving their strategies for measuring, exploiting, protecting and operating in the world's oceans, OI China partners the biennial Oceanology International, most recently held at the ExCel Centre in London in March of this year. AMSI's parent body, the Society of Maritime Industries (SMI), helped manage the UKTI Pavilion which hosted Society members Chelsea Technologies, Ocean Scientific International and Valeport as well as Bowtech Products and Neptune Sonar, with all enjoying the huge volume of visitors and the on-hand expertise of our Shanghai-based representative Chen Li-Ming.
