The fifth business survey of UK marine scientific industries highlights continued growth for the marine science and technology (MST) sector and shows it is a major contributor to the UK economy. The Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) has conducted the survey focused on UK companies operating primarily in MST activities. The survey took place at Ocean Business, held in Southampton, UK, during April 2013, which played host to more than 300 companies representing the world's leading ocean technology suppliers and service providers.
