Editor's Note: "Program Acquisition Costs by Weapon System" is an official document that is prepared by the Pentagon and issued to the public with its annual budget. It presents the current spending plans for systems that are scheduled to be acquired in the future. The figures in the document are based the Pentagon's best estimates of the annual costs of specified weapons systems, but they are not set in stone and tend to be adjusted over time. Yet the document provides a useful snapshot of the U.S. acquisition budget at the time of publication. We update this appendix annually with the latest version available.
