摘要

The TFT-LCD panel manufacturing industry is extremely needful of water. This means that, in the face of water restrictions, productivity will be seriously impacted. This study proposed a novel linear programming to construct the best model for water usage assignment of production machinery. The model can maximize the total throughput based on the required productivity and the water restriction conditions. This study describes how to verify the model with an actual working example, and analyzes the influence of productivity depending on the water rationing ratio. Through the verification of a practical case, the model is shown to be capable of reducing the negative impact on productivity, as well as reducing the cost of water. The results could provide a reference supplying information to management for the managing of their water resources.
