摘要

Polymers with nanofillers (so-called nanocomposites) are widely used in different industrial branches because of their enhanced mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. The influence of different types and concentrations of nanofillers on the thermal properties of composites is investigated. It is noted that in addition to the change in the thermal conductivity, the glass transition temperature range also undergoes a change on filler loading. Furthermore, it has been found that there is a critical nanofiller concentration at which the glass transition temperature diminishes significantly or the thermal conductivity is enhanced. Multiwall and single-wall carbon nanotubes, activated carbon, nanosilica fillers (aerosil), and nanoboehmite are regarded as fillers of composites.
