Our lead article in this issue deals with the ever-increasing problem of how and where to store all of the data generated both in/by our work activities, and for our personal lives and families. According to author, Andy Marken, Wikipedia estimates that no less than 98 times more data exists now than did so in 1986. Given our capacity for generating data -both useful and not so useful -I for one would hesitate to doubt that. And as Andy says: "The scary part is... much of that information exists only in digital format."
