摘要

The complex mechanisms acting during cutting affect the mechanical, microstructural and topographical state of the surface and the near-surface layer of metals. Such changes are important in controlling the corrosion behaviour of these workpieces in the presence of an aggressive environment. This study presents an investigation of the influence of cutting parameters on surface and subsurface characteristics. Electrochemical behaviour of the machined surfaces is analysed using local techniques.
