摘要

This paper introduces an induced l_∞ approach (also known as a peak-to-peak approach) to derive a new criterion for the realization of state-space direct form digital filters free of overflow limit cycles. The criterion guarantees asymptotic stability and reduces the effect of external interference to an induced l_∞ norm constraint. The criterion can overcome some disadvantages of existing criteria. Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed stability criterion.
