EBRD loan for Albanian small hydropower

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced recently that it is to provide a €5.2 million loan to the company Hydro Power Plant of Korea, to finance the construction of two small plants in the eastern part of Albania. The EBRD financing, which is to be extended under the London-based bank's Western Balkans Sustainable Energy Direct Financing Facility (WeBSEDFF), will finance the building of the Verbe-Selce 1 and 2 plants, which are due to become operational next year.
