A joint venture between Turkish private power producer, Ayen Enerji, and Albania's AS Energji has started preliminary construction work, on a BOT basis, of four hydro plants on the Fan river in northern Albania, which will have a total installed capacity of 110.6 MW, The 63.8 MW Ura e Fanit storage scheme and three run-of-river plants (27.9 MW Peshqesh, 12.3 MW Gojan and 6.6 MW Gjegjan) are projected to produce average annual output of 380 GWh.
