Albania awarded EBRD funding for a dam safety project

The European bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced on 15 January that it is to provide a sovereign loan of €12.7 million to the Republic of Albania to be lent on to the state power producer Korporata Elektroenergjitike Shqiptare (KESH) for investment in boosting the safety of the Komani hydropower dam on the Drin river in the north of the country.
