Low-head small hydro solutions at existing dams

Many dams and weirs at existing irrigation or flood control systems could be modified and retrofitted to generate electricity from hydropower. This paper explores some of the opportunities available to develop small hydro schemes at existing project locations, at low cost and in a short period of time, without the need to interrupt operation.
