Over the years the Industrial Railway Society has been producing a series of handbooks which contain easily accessible information relating to firms which employed industrial railways. These range from full-scale industrial railway systems with their own locomotives down to a short length of narrow-gauge rails along which men would push a wagon. Included are sketches of the history of firms which used railways, making the handbooks of value for reference to readers with a wide range of interests. Six-figure grid references are given.
