IMPACT OF SEWAGE DRAIN AND CESS POOLS ON GROUND WATER OF CHAMARAJNAGAR TOWN, INDIA

摘要

In Chamarqjanagar town, India, groundwater is pumped directly through pipe to the consumer points for drinking purpose. There is no protected water supply in the town. An attempt has been made to evaluate the quality of groundwater in the study, since it is having surface sewage drains and cess polls around the pumping bore wells, over flowing waste water drains adjacent to the working bore wells are common sight in the town. The physico-chemical parameters were determined for 12 samples of ground water and also bacteriological analysis were tested.
