A distribution automated mapping/facility management system (DAM/FM) developed in Tianjin University is presented in this paper. The DAM/FM runs under the environment of Microsoft Windows on PCs. It is a CAD- based automated mapping/facility management system along with a commercially available relational database management system and ca be conceptually divided into two parts that are a distribution database management system (DDBMS) and a graphical user interface (GUI).
